Well, I'm not going to lie; I've never thought the old prototype was attractive in any way.
But somehow, one person wanted to give it a try! And even if they didn't play more than 30 seconds, it made me quite happy.
Therefore, I wanted to provide a better version for this person. Although I lost the original game code, I've recreated the project from scratch, keeping the main idea: playing procedural tracks.
With this new version, I've changed every model to use Kenney assets (Car Kit · Kenney and City Kit (Roads) · Kenney), complete a gameplay loop, added some sound (no car sound yet), and some other few things.
In the next version, I would like to add car sound, add car drift trail and particles, more blocs and add a leaderboard.
Right now, the maximum length of a track is fixed to 25 blocs, which is roughly 40 seconds (with the current speed of the car).
Some track can be shorter due to the map generation method.
